Call 713-697-4110 or email skdesigns@mindspring.com. We will discuss your project in detail: which rooms are you working on; what colors, styles, furnishings and art should we plan to coordinate with; are your goals privacy or light control or softness or a combination of all three?
This information helps me curate fabrics, trims, hardware, etc. specifically tailored to your project and desires.
Consult
In-home consultations range from 1-2 hours. I will measure everything needed for your project. We will review and select fabrics and hardware, determine styles, placement, etc.
Upon return to my studio, I will check stock for your project materials, prepare a project description and pricing (per room/project) and provide an estimated time frame for completion and installation.
Turnaround time for fabric treatments is usually 6-8 weeks; blinds and shutters are generally ready on a shorter timeline.
Our consultation/measure fee ranges from $150 to $225 ($150 inside Loop 610; $225 outside Beltway 8). This fee is fully rebatable on all orders over $1000 placed within 30 days of project quote.
Plan
Upon receipt of your down payment, I will order your materials and verify stock and timing, and will notify you of any stock/timing changes.
Approximately two weeks before your project is completed, you will be contacted to coordinate the installation with your schedule.
Buildout: we can also provide input during the framing process for new construction projects. We can help ascertain where additional bracing/support should be located for drapery installation, as well as for motorization wiring.
Reveal
I attend all installations and assist my installer with dressing the treatments and organizing the items, room by room.
We will leave our workspace clean and beautiful!
To assist you with future accessory purchases, you will be provided with fabric swatches of each fabric utilized, along with care instructions for your new treatments.
